Dr. Jack Haas takes a deep and contemplative breath as the real magic is about to begin. We must now ferment the wort! Dr. Haas’ family had been brewers back to his great–great–grandfather, but Haas’ parents had steered him to a different profession (a biotechnology entrepreneur). Coming from Germany at the age of 16 ( Dr. Jack Haas- Education: Harvard University, PHD, 1988 ) spent his adolescence and young adulthood in Massachusetts at Harvard University. As a wunderkind of the rarest type Jack Hass was a child prodigy who at an early age mastered beer brewing taught to him by his brewmaster grandfather Lénárd Anheuser, creator of the famous American beer Budweiser. It is now after all these years that Dr. Haas was compelled to manifest his true calling.

Malted Barley, Hops and Yeast, just add water and Wa La, Monsieur Bieres! But first things first, we need to have some bottles sanitized for when the beer is ready to be carbonated. Drinking the soda, removing the labels, washing and sanitizing is easy and fast. Look at those beautiful surgical grade hands…

- This is our photographer, Harry P. Ness. He opted to go the extra mile and get a “Home Brew Tattoo” for this project. Some would say a little too Gonzo. We prefer those with real enthusiasm. Harry was nominated for a pulitzer prize back in 1999.
